PETALUMA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION .
RESOLUTLON 'NO. 8'0-4 .
RESOLUTION OPPOSING'STATE ASSEMBLY B`~I,'LL NO 2257 CONCERNING THE
RESTR3GTIOM OF THE INTRA'-A'GEN'CY OSE'.OF' TA'X INCREMENT FUNDS OUT-
SIDE OF PROJECT AREAS FROM WHICH SUCH aRE GENERATED.
WHEREAS, existing law allows a redevelopment agency to use proceeds of
tax increment revenues ~in project-areas of such agency other than the one from
which such revenues were. generated; and,
WHEREAS, the enactment into law of Assembly Bill No. 2257 would result
in a major revision of the existing law affecting the financial capability
of redevelopment agencies~to carry out their functions; and,
WHEREAS, the enac.tment~i~nto law of Assembly Bill No. 2257 would take
away the authority of the Petaluma Community Development Commission to finance
Redeve opment projects needed by the- Community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEb by the.Peta]uma Community Development
Commission that is opposes the enactment into Taw of Assembly Bill No. 2257
and strongly urges the Legislature and its committees to disapprove said bill;
and,
BE PT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Recording Secretary shall transmit
copies of this resolution to:
