MINUTES OF MEETING
OF CITY COUNCIL
PETALUMA, CALIFORNIA
MAY 14, 1979
REGULAR ADJOURNED MEETING
ROLL CALL 4 P.M. Present: Councilmen Balshaw, Bond, Cavanagh, Daly,
Vice -Mayor Harberson, Mayor Hilligoss
Absent: Councilman Perry
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Those persons assembled recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
HEARING ON APPEALS OF The Mayor read the names of the members of the 1980 -81
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOP- Residential Development Evaluation Citizens' Committee
MENT EVALUATIONS as those names correspond to the numbers used on the
evaluation score sheets. They are as follows:
1. Marilyn Hoff; 2. Carole Ellis; 3. Michael Perenon; 4. Robert Goetzinger; 5.
Charles Lewis; 6. Steve Gaultney; 7. Ray Peterson; 8. Jeanne Dreikosen; 9.
Elizabeth Marquardt; 10. Lawrence Tencer; 11. Mary Shearer; 12. Michael Lavin;
13. Rogers Hoffman; and 14. William Perry. Council heard from the following
developers requesting change in the scoring:
1. Qantas Development Corporation, represented by
Jon Joslyn.
2. Novak Development Company. Attorney Matt Hudson
advised the Council Novak Development Company
wished to withdraw their appeal.
3. Duffel Financial and Construction Company,
represented by Van Norden Logan.
4. Debra Homes, Incorporated, represented by
Charles Linthicum.
5. Milton Forman - Cherry Hill Project, represented
by Barry Parkinson.
6. 4 Apples, represented by Matt Hudson, Tom Baker,
and Dick Lieb.
Those developers with projects which had sufficient
points from the selection process yet who wrote letters of appeal to protect
their relative positions in the ratings were:
1. McBail Company. Letter. from Michael Gallagher.
2. William Murphy Fairway Glen. Letter from
Don Laidlaw & Associates letter.
3. Global Homes. Letter from William Hsi.
Council took the information they received in the
I p.peal hearing under submission and set Tuesday, 9, at 4 p.m., as the time
nd place for their continued evaluation of the pp Is.
