INVOCATION
The invocation was led by Reverend Brad Dack from the
Christian Church.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Brad Jones.
MINUTES
The April 23 minutes were approved as amended - on Page
.2 at Adjournment add "and Adjourned to a Regular Meeting,
May 7 ". The May 7 minutes were approved as amended -
Page 3, 12th line down, delete the word "area" and
replace it with "City "'.

DISCUSSION MEASURE A Council agreed to continue this item to the June 4
FUNDS Council meeting.
TRUCK ROUTES Resolution No. 8542 N.C.S. designating certain streets
RESO #8542 NCS to be truck routes in the downtown area of Petaluma,
barring trucks from certain streets therein, and repeal-
ing Resolution No. 8518 N.C.S. Introduced by Councilman Perry, seconded by
Councilman Daly. City Engineer Tom Hargis reported this compromise was worked
out with the truckers with a change in hours of restriction on Petaluma Boulevard
from 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m: - 6:00 p.m. and the route now allows
the use of "C" Street. The truck route becomes effective after the signs have
been posted and will expire 90 days from the date it becomes enforceable if not
re- adopted.

Councilman Balshaw asked for a count of the trucks
using Petaluma Boulevard.
SIDEWALK ENCROACHMENT Introduction of Ordinance No. 1366 N.C.S. adding Section
ORD #1366 NCS 13.04.1052, and amending Section 13.04.110 of the Petaluma
Municipal Code to prohibit utilization of sidewalks for
access unless an encroachment permit is obtained. Introduced by Councilman
Perry, seconded by Councilman Daly. Council request that the Ordinance be
published.

BURLINGTON /ARLINGTON Council considered alternatives that had been discussed
MAP for circulation in this area. Emil Mogel, Engineer for
RESO X18543 NCS the property owner, and Merton Smith, the property
owner, spoke for the proposed map. Resolution No.8543 N.C.S.
denying the tentative Subdivision Map for Burlington Estate Subdivision without
prejudice (Merton and Alice Smith). Introduced by Councilman Perry, seconded by
Vice -Mayor Harberson.

approval of modifications to subdivision requirements re lot sizes. Introduced
by Vice -Mayor Harberson, seconded by Councilman Daly.

MERGERS CONTIGUOUS Introduction of Ordinance No. 1368 N.C.S. amending
PARCELS Chapter 20.04 of the Petaluma Municipal Code (a portion
ORD #1368 NCS of the Subdivision Ordinance) by adding Section 20.04.140
thereto to regulate mergers of contiguous parcels held
by the same owner, and by adding Section 20.04.150 thereto, provide for the
automatic conformance of the Subdivision Ordinance to the State Subdivision Map
Act. Introduced by Councilman Perry, seconded by Councilman Balshaw.
