Tentative Map -- The.'City Clerk -read the following letters: Westridge Units #1 and #2 An letter to.the City Council from Leora Ayers., 133 Sunnysl Road.,.concerning the proposed,subdivision, and particularly with respect.to the possible traffic problem that will be created on S.unnyslope,Road.as a result of the - proposed agreement.- Said letter filed. An open.l.etter from.Mr. and Mrs. Lindberg regarding_condit-ion of Sunnyslope Road. Said letter filed. Petition containing. 605 signatur,es of residents o:f- the County o,f . Sonoma opposed to the proposed - subdivis o the area• of "'I'" Street and Surinyslope.Road. until the traffic, road,,density, and'drahage probleiris. are solved. Said petition filed.' Mr. Wi;l,liam,Wurzber-g, Administrative Assistant to the Stp r. ntende'nt.. - of Schools, _appeared before the 'Co.u"ncil.'with regard- to the question which sc_hool the subdivision. wi11 'be ; attendng. In the 1973 -74 year grades K thru 6 -wi ..be attending Grant -.School',, grade' e's 1 thru .8, Peta luma `Junior High School; grades 9 thru`12,, Petaluma Senior- High'.School; and that the same,sc:hedule would ,probably,prevaia for the 19;74 -75 school, year. Some informal discussion by ,the. public and Mr. Wurz�berg followed with ques : t ons being asked .regarding'the school problems., Mr. James, questions regarding plans for a culvert at Sunnyslope Avenue and- "I" Street.. He was advised to contact Mr. Carl Jackson of-the Sonoma County Water Agency - With regard to Zone,2A priority funding of such a project.. Others whoa spoke against,the development were: Mr...; David Lindberg , - 2.8 7 'Sunnyslope : Road., and Mr, Chris' :Henricksen , 15 Ave'r - ' e Way .. Mrs. Chris Uenricks'en 'was ruled out of order and not permitted to - speak. In response to many concerns expressed regarding the condition of Sunnyslope Road, Mr, Lafr•anchi indicated the developer's willingness to con- sider some means to cooperate with the property owners - ,i: the area on a - total program to , improve the entire street. - He stated, however, that he ' u2 April 3; 1973 , Tentative-Map-7 did not believefthe.City had any­j,urisdiction to Westridge Development impose conditions because the street ..is located. Water Agency. to ,attempt to. work out - some kind of a program: to -correct a problem that seemingly already exists:.
