May 8, 1973 Council Meeting Adjourned meeting.of•.the City Council of the City of Petaluma was'called.to order by Mayor Putnam -.at the hour of 5:00 o'clock p.m. Attendance Present: Councilmen Brunner, Cavanagh, Jr., Clecak, Mattei, Perry, Jr., and Mayor Putnam. Absent: Councilman Daly. Computer Study Counci -lman Mattei reported on the activities 6131 of the Council Committee assigned to explore the feasibility of a computer system for the City of Petaluma. After reviewing the.use of the electronic data processing systems by various cities and firms, the Council authorized solicitation of proposals from specialists to conduct a study on the feasibility of a program. Couricilman,Mattei reported that the two.fol lowing proposals were received: 1. Touche Ross and Company, San - Francisco; Phase #1, $`7,500; Phase #2, $10,000; Total; $17,500.. 2. Gottfried Consultants, Inc., Los Angeles,. $11 An addition was noted bn.Page 3 of the Gottfried proposal: Add the word. "planning" to the list of applicable functions.. Following ,.a short discussion, a motion was .made by Councilman Mattei; and.,seconded by Councilman Perry, Jr., selecting Gottfried Consultants, Inc.,'as the firm to conduct the computer program study. Motion carried by the following vote: Ayes; Councilmen Clecak, Matted, Perry, Jr., and Mayor.Putnam.. Noes: Councilmen Brunner and Cavanagh, Jr., Absent: Councilman Daly. Councilman Cavanagh, Jr., qualified his "No." vote by stating that he has the fullest confi- dence in the Committee, but felt that the action was premature. Adjournment There being further business, to come before the Council, the meeting was' adjourned at '5:30 o'clock p.m.. to an executive session on a litigation matter. Mayor' Attest:
