D. Young, addressed the Council apprizing it..

Weller., informed the Council of his client's
probl "em'of a- "no parking" zone in front of the
company's and thus not being able.to
unload•.t'rucks. Mr. Weller also addressed the
Council on the matter'.'describing the infrequency
of the deliveries of furniture - - usually no more
than - two times a -day and' each delivery' lasting
three to ten minutes.
Directo.r,'of Public Works-David A. Young expressed
concern:.regar'ding the potential problems involved
in pl�a6ing.a loading zone in a traffic lane on
a- four- lame street such as this. He also ques-
° tioned the City's'jiability if an accident occurred
involving a : truck . parked , in a traffic lane.
Many possible solutions to the unloading problem
were discussed. It was .fiha suggested that
a loading zone.for the delivery trucks be placed
on Howard Street and the.furniture carried,to
the warehouse. Mr. Weller ag reed .to experiment
with the and the Council assured him
if'the'plan was not satisfactory, aft alternative
wild be discussed.
