Report 1970, pointing out the streets se- lected for.asphalt concrete overlay and fo.r.slurry for a total es "t mated `Cost of $201,945. He recommended that the Report be accepted as a guide for future expenditure of'street maintenance funds. Mr. Young that funds in the amount of $42,000'are provided in the current budget for a project to resurface a number of" the ' streets included in the Report and that, plans and'.specifications will be.pre -. sente'd to the Council for consideration at its meeting on August 17, 1970. Following the Commission appointments,, Mayor Putnam.expressed appreciation to ail those -,who submitted their name for consideration of a Commission appoint- ment and.commended them for their will - ingness to participate an community affairs. The City,Clerk was directed to notify the appointees of the Council's action. Budget 197'0-71 City Manager Robert Meyer, reviewed "'Sum -. �1 Res. #5.544 N. C. S,. mart' by • Function" and :" Es.timated ..Revenue" gyp' 1970 -71 Budget. Copy of each were submitted and filed. Mr. Meyer noted that'the Budget totalied.$3,330,151 - the highest in the history o.f,the.City of Petaluma. ' Resolution No.,�55.44 approving and adopting a final budget of the esaima;ted .amounts, require. -pay to pay the expenses of - conducting the buisines,s.of the City government :for!the Fiscal Year July 1, 1970'to and including June 30, 1;971, was introduced by Councilman • Joer- ger, seconded by Councilman Cavanagh, Jr., and adopted by 7 offirmat 1 1 August 10, 1970 Appropriation City Manager Robert Meyer informed,the Ordinance 1970 -71 Counc,il•that,the 1 -71 appropriation ordinance will be•presented for consid- eration at the August 17,:1970 meeting. Police - Station City Manager Robert Meyer informed the. Addition Council that drapes have been ordered for the•entry hall and three offices.in the Police Station for $298._45 to. be paid from the.Police Station Contract Contingency Fund. Study Session City Manager Robert Meyer stated that his vacation starts Saturday,.August 15, and if the . Council- decides to hold . any . study sessioms,. to contactAssistant City Mana- ger John'Nolan - has the necessary .material.f.or the various topics.to be - considered., 7 � Civic Center Committee City Manager Robert Meyer informed the ,a Council that Councilman Cavanagh, will present•a Committee report -on the City Hall Expansion Program at the next _Council meeting.. Salaries City Manager .Robert Meyer . stated that the Res. #5545 N.C.•S.* proposed salaries include increa - ses for all units, of ,.employees - some at' 6 -1/4 percent and others at•8- 3 /4.percent; where- upon, Resolution No. 55 N.C.S., approving certain salary ranges and pay plans arrived at by the.Municipal Employee Relations Offi- cer.under the provisions,of the Meyers/ Millias /Brown Act, was introduced by Coun- cilmari.•Brunner, seconded by Councilman Bat- tagl''ia, and adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
