Council Adjourned meeting o.f the:Council of the
City of Petaluma was called to order by
Mayor Pu tnam at the 'hour o.f 7:30 o'clock
p.m.
Attendance Present: Councilmen Brainerd, Brunner,

Absent: Coucilman Battaglia.
Executive Session The Council adjourned to an executive,
seasion'to consider appointments to the
Development Policy Committee at 7:32
o'clock p.m..
The Council returned from executive ses-
sion at 7:58 o'clock p.m.

Gasoline Storage Director of Public Works David Young re
Tank ported briefly on the conditions.hnd need
Res. #5719 N.C.7S. for the replacement of the.gas'oline tank
at the Corporation Yard whereupon,;Res0
lution No. 5719 N.C._S.; authorizing.the
purchase and- installation'of gasoline
storage tank at the - City Corporation Yard,
was introduced by Councilman Daly, second-
ed by Councilman - Brainerd, and adopted by
5-affirmative votes, 2 absentees.
Civic Center/ Vice -Mayor Cavanagh, Jr., reported that
City Hall- the agreement'•before.the Council at this
Res.. - #5 - 720 N.C.S. time will authorize the County of Sonoma
to.advertise.for bids for the'Civic- Center/
City Hall improvements. The bid-includes
a number.of alternates so that the Council
can review costs and delete sections which
may be too costly for-the City,to under
take at-this time. A brief discussion
followed,-in which,Mt. Lawrence Forney,
100 Burlington Drive,'and`Mrs. Dona Cook,
1713 'Kearny Street, commented* from the
:audience.- Resolution No. 5720 N.C.S.,
authorizing the Mayor.,to execute an agree-
ment with the County of Sonoma relative to
the enlargement and improvement.of City
Hall, was introduced by Councilman. Cavanagh,
Jr., seconded by Councilman Brainerd, and
adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees.
Revenue Sharing Letter,.dated March 29, from Congress-,
man, H. Clausen, expressing support
a program designed to bring about revenue
sharing, read. -and filed:
Petaluma Letter, dated April 5, 1971, from T. J.
Swim Club Nolan,--President, Petaluma Swim. -Club, 3�
reporting on the Club's first invitational
Class AA Swim Meet, and thanking the Coun-
cil for contribution toward the purchase
of awards for.said•meet, read and filed.
Agenda A motion, approving the addition of an
item to the a,genda..regarding an.amendment

sidered at th -is time, was made by Council-
man•Brunner -, seconded by Councilman Daly,
