Councilman Colin Councilman Colin arrived at the meeting at
4 :55 o'clock p.m.
Consideration of Street Improvement program
measure was held next. Councilman Brainerd
felt that the first order of business would
be to adopt the Core Area Plan as part of
the General Plan because of its direct re-
lation with the Street Improvement Program;
however, it was noted by the City Attorney
that the required public hearing's have not
been held by the Council to incorporate the
Core Area Plan into the General Plan.
Proposal "F" of the combinations for street
improvement programs submitted by the City
Attorney was discussed at length as a possible
measure for the bond issue. However, Council-
men Cavanagh, Jr., Colin and Joerger objected
to including Petaluma Blvd. North in the total
street improvement group and favored presenting
it as a separate street improvement measure.
Mr. Larry Bernauer of the East Petaluma Civic
Association addressed the Council urging that
all of the street improvements be included in
one measure. Since a decision could not be
reached on the issue, it was decided to further
study the matter and meet again on 'Thursday.
Adjournment There being no further business to come before
the Council, the meeting was adjourned at
