Council.Meeting Spec -al meeting of Counci of the
City of Petaluma was called to order,
by `Mayo.r Putnam at-the hour of 7:40
o'clock p.m.
Attendance Present: Councilmen-Brunner, Cavanagh,
Jr., Joerger, Mattei,'and
Mayor Putnam.
Absent: Councilmen - Battaglia and
Brainerd:
Notice of the Call - Notice; - -of the special meeting called for
March 23, 1970; the Certificate of the
City Clerk of said notice;
and, the consent of the members.present
of the holding -of said meeting, submitted
and filed.
Purpose of The- meeting:_was called to consider and
the Meeting act following two items:. Award
of .contr,act for . Police Station Additions
and the.application for Federal Funds to
ass.is,t with the construction of additions
and.modifications . to the.Wastewater Treat-
ment Plant.

Police Chief Higgins reviewed..his memo,
dated March 20,. 1970, to City.Manager
Robert Meyer,.recommending- that the low
bid of Swallow Construction Company be
accepted. Copy of submitted and
filed. He - pointed out that Alternates 2,,
3, and 4:are very essential but add to the
original estimated cost of the project.

The.Council approved,the• entire p:r- oje:ct in
the. amount of $57r&55. ' 50 ; and to fund the
additional amount neeed,- a motion -was made.
by Cavanagh;. Jr.., and seconded
by Councilman Matte,i to transfer $4,755.5.0 -
from the Gener'a_l Contingency Fund to the
Police Fund,. PS2 -6'9: Motion-
car-ried unanimously.

to the 'Wastewater Treatment Plant., was in.-
tr.oduced by Councilman Cavanagh, Jr., sec -
onded, by Councilman Brunner, and adopted by
5.affrmatve votes, 2 absentees. Mr.
Young was asked to furnish -a copy oi, Ybder's
Master - Sewer Study to Councilmen. Brunner and
Mattei and. a copy of -tie grant • appl•cation
to the Council. It was -suggested that a
study session. be - held,to review the Master
Sewer 'Study before Mr. Yoder presents his
report in June.
Study Session. It -was announced that no Study Session
will -be held after• the meeting.
Adjournment There bei -ng no further busine to come
before the . Council,, the meeting was- ad-
journed at 8:30 o''clock p.m.
