Colin, Gans, Joerger, Lipman, and
Mayor Putnam.

Reading of the
Notice of the Special Meeting called for Novem-
Ca'1.1
ber 29, 1965, the certificate of the City Clerk
of the delivery of said notice, and the consent
of the members of the City Council to the hold -
ing of said meeting, read and filed.
Purpose of the
The purpose of the meeting was to hold a dis-
Meeting
cussion regarding an architect and engineer for
the swimming pool. Councilman Brainerd presented
a proposed drawing of the swimming pool site
which he described as being located on the north-
west.corner of the Fairgrounds property next to
the access road that parallels East Washington
Street. He then read a letter, dated November 24,
1965, from Dr. G. Edward Rudloff recommending that
Milton F. Johnson of Palo Alto, California, be
retained as the.project architect and coordinator,
and that Nor -Cal Engineering_Company of Redwood
City, California, be retained as site engineers.
Copy of said letter was submitted and filed.
Letter, dated November -29, 1965, from Lieb, Ross,
& Quaresma of Petaluma requesting that their firm
be considered as project architects for the pro-
posed swimming pool complex, was read and filed.
In the discussion that followed, the matter of
adequate parking for the pool site was brought
up by Councilmen Colin and Cavanagh, Jr., who
felt that a definite parking plan should be
developed at this time. It was pointed out that
the access road would provide parking and that
the Fair Board has offered they will cooperate
with a parking program as indicated on their list
of comments of the November 22nd meeting with
Dr. Rudloff. Said list was read by Councilman
Brainerd, copy of which was submitted and filed.
However, Councilman Colin stated he could not
approve the site unless the parking matter is
settled. In line with the suggestion of Council -
man Colin and Lipman who felt that there are many
questions, in addition to parking, that should be
discussed with Dr. Rudloff before any action is
taken, the City Manager was directed to arrange
a convenient date and time with Dr. Rudloff and
the Council for the purpose of holding a special
meeting on the swimming pool complex.
Adjournment
There being no further business to come before
the Council, the meeting was adjourned.
