Ordinance
Ordinance and Capital Outlay Program to be

completed during the fiscal year July 1, 1965,
to June 30, 1966, to establish certain reserve
funds for future acquisitions, to provide for cap-
ital acquisition of equipment, to provide for
certain improvement projects, and to provide that
the items of the Capital Outlay Program which
exceed the value of $750.00 be approved and be
ordered commenced by resolution and to name the
fund from which the particular outlay program
shall be paid, was introduced by Councilman
Lipman, seconded by Councilman Colin, and adopted
by 7 affirmative votes.

Sewer- Election
Ordinance #818 N.C.S. calling a Special Municipal
Ord'.' # NCS
Eaedton in the City of Petaluma for the purpose
of- submittin,g,to the electors of said City the
measure of incurring a bonded indebtedness of
said City for the acquisition, construction and
completion of the following municipal improvement,
to wit: Sewer System Improvements; declaring the
estimated cost of said municipal improvement, the
amount of the principal of said indebtedness to
be incurred therefor, and the maximum rate of
interest to be paid thereon; making provision
for the levy and collection of taxes, and fixing
the date of said election, the manner of holding
the same,, establishing election precincts and
polling places for said election, appointing
election officers therefor, and providing for
notice thereof, was introduced by Councilman
Lipman, seconded by Councilman Cavanagh, Jr.,
and adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Holidays for
In answer to Councilman Brainerd, the City Manager
Employees
stated that he submitted a letter to the employees
Res. #4403 NC
listing the Government Code and suggested holi-
days and that their reply indicated approval of
the suggested list. Upon request, the Manager
read the letter which he sent to the employees,
whereupon Resolution #4403 N.C.S. establishing
holidays for the employees of the City of Peta-
luma for the calendar year 1966, and declaring
December 31, 1965, a holiday, was introduced
by Councilman Lipman, seconded by Councilman
Brainerd, and adopted by 7 affirmative votes.

Swimming Pool Resolution #4404 N.C.'S. approving the.report of
Complex Site G.`Edward Rudloff, Swimming Pool Consultant, and
Res. #4404 NCS adopting his recommendation that the swimming
1� pool be, located in the Fairgrounds, was intro-
duced by Councilman Joerger, seconded by-Council-
man Brainerd, and adopted by 7 af'firmat ve'votes.
Architect - Swimming
Mr. Richard Lieb, local architect, appeared be-

for the Council accompanied by his firm associates,

Mr. Ross and Mr. Quaresma, requesting th,at�consi-
deration be given his firm when employing an
architect,for the swimming pool complex. After
his formal presentation, a discussion period
was held with the Council to determine all facts.
Following consideration of, Mr.. Lieb's request,
it was expressed by the Council that they accept.
Mr. Rudlof;f's recommendation to employ Mr;. Mil -
ton F. Johnson. Resolution #4405 N.C.S, employ-
ing Milton F. Johnson, architect, of P.alo-Alto,
California, as the architect for the Swimming
Pool Project and authorizing the Mayor to..
cute an agreement for his services, was intro-
duced by.Councilman Gans, seconded by Councilman
Joerger, afid adopted by 7 affirmative votes.

Resolution #4406 N.C.S. employing Nor -Cal Engineer -
Swimming Pool Complex
ing Company of Redwood City, California, as the
Res. #4406 NCS
site engineer for the Swimming Pool Project,'and
authorizing the Mayor to execute an agreem'en't
with Nor -Cal Engineering Company, was introduced
by Councilman Lipman, seconded by Councilman
Joerger, and adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
The Mayor announced that the last three items
on the agenda are to be considered at the study
session 'following the meeting -
Report on Maria Drive lots sale.
Proposed personnel system ordinance;'.
Preemption initiative petition.
Adjournment There being, no further business to come before
the Council, the meeting was adjourned to`a.
study session.
