Council Meeting Adjourned meeting of the Council of the City
of Petaluma called to order by Mayor Putnam
at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m.
Attendance Present: Councilmen Brainerd, Colin, Joerger,
Lipman, -and Mayor Putnam.
Absent: Councilmen Battaglia and Cavanagh, Jr.--

Resolution #4756 N.C.S. approving claims and bills

Nos:. 11.151 to 11378 inclusive and Nos. 1075 to
1086 inclusive, was introduced by Councilman
Joerger, seconded by Councilman Lipman, and
adopted by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees. /

Plans and specifications for the subject proj c � ,

submitted and filed. Director of Public Works

David Young commented on the total estimated cost

of the project and on the future improvements of
the water system. Following a brief discussion,

It was decided to defer action on the subject

Rohnert Park
Resolution #4758 N.C.S. approving - the City of
Res. #4758 NCS
Rohnert Park's request that the area in Rohnert
Park be transferred to the Cotati Elementary
School District and the Petaluma High School
District, was introduced by Councilman Colin,
seconded by Councilman Lipman, and adopted by
5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees.
Councilman Cavanagh, Jr.,joined the meeting at
this time. It was approximately 8 o'clock p.m.

Budget 1967 -68
Review was held on the following sections of the
1967 -68 preliminary budget: City Attorney, City
Manager, City Planner.and City Council. After
completing the discussion on these sections, it
was agreed to continue with - the budget study on
Tuesday at 4 o'clock p.m. and, if necessary, on
Wednesday at 4 o'clock p.m.

Mr. Robert Griffith, Accountant, and Mr. Dario
Increase
Calegari, President,nPeta {luma Sanitary Disposal
Company,appeared before the Council to discuss
the firm's request to increase garbage rates.
Mr. Griffith reviewed a financial report sub-
mitted to the Council during May, 1967, and
after considerable deliberation, said firm re-
presentatives were asked to compile additional
information regarding salaries for presentation
to the Council at a later date. At the request
of Mr. Calegari, the matter was directed to be
placed as an item on the agenda for the next reg-
ular Council meeting.

Weed Abatement
Program
It was - brought to the .Council's attention that
the-.next-regular meeting scheduled for July 3rd
conflicts with'a long holiday, weekend., and upon
procedure outlined by the City Attorney, the
Council agreed to adjourn the meeting on July 3rd
to Wednesday, July 5th, 1967, at 7:30 o'clock pm.
The City Manager distributed copies of a_weed
abatement program suggested by Fire Chief
Benton to members of the Council for study,
before consideration of the weed abatement.

Adjournment There being no further business to come before
the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 10:40
o'clock p.m.
