Council Meeting Regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Petaluma called to order by Mayor Helen Putnam at
the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m.
Attendance Present: 'Councilmen Battaglia, Brainerd,
Cavanagh., Jr., Colin, Joerger and
Mayor Putnam.
Absent: Counclman'Lipman.
Invocation The invocation was given by Reverend.Father Charles
Tracey, St. Vincefit's Church.
Approval of Minutes The minutes, of July 3 and July 5, 1967, were
approved as recorded.

Blocking Off
Kentucky Street
In considering,the Chamber's request to block off,
Kentucky Street as o:utlined..in their letter,, Fire
Chief Benton asked tlhat plans be discussed with
the Fire Department in order to provide proper
f'i protection.. ,,P',olice_Ch of Del Maestro-in
- dicated there would., be, no- problem on the part
of the Police' Department, whereupon a motion was
made by. Councilmanr.Battagl,ia, and seconded, by
Councilman :Brainerd, to block off Kentucky Street
as requested subject "to the approval -of both Chiefs.
Motion -carried.,unanimoursly.

City, Manager Robert Meyer•reported, that at the

Boat Launching In order to bring the.Council up date'on the:
Ramp _Facility. statu of the boat: launching ramp, facility, City
Manager Robert _Meyer stated that he received a
call from the :State Department of' Small Cra'ft;s-
and Harbors informing the Ci;ty .the. State
/0 budget. signed by Governor Reagan included funds
'in, the .amount of $136,00'0 f.or :a boat launching
rump facility for the Petaluma area. Along this
l.ihe, a recent meeting was held with `Mr. ,Joe

He noted that a-db-cision will be,reached,within
a few. months. , The Mayor,.added that it .was agreed
to hold a further meeting with the group.
