Geoff Bradley, Principal Planner
Vice Mayor Renee opened the PUBLIC HEARING.
Ryan Nickelson, Regency Centers, gave an update on the tenant leases, and
expressed the tenants' interest in having freeway facing signage.
Mike Powers, McNellis Partners, owners of Plaza South, explained that the current
language in the ordinance would require the shopping center to fully reconstruct
the rear facade of their building, which would be an economic burden.
Steven Farley, Petaluma, expressed his concern with the freeway area becoming
one sign after another, like many other cities.
Paul Werbaneth, Petaluma, expressed his objections to the freeway facing
signage, and hopes the Council will stand by the Planning Commission's decision.
Seeing no other persons wishing to speak, Vice Mayor Renee closed the PUBLIC
HEARING.
