Mrs. Jameson addressed the Council stating that she felt it would be more fair and more feasible for the City to require that the entire 15 ft. to b,e used to widen the street, be furnished by the developers of the Martin property, Mayor Parent stated that he believed there would be no reason .for widening . Wallin 1 1 (8) _ May 4, 19.59 Moving Play ground A r6a ® Kenilworth Park A the request of Councilman Gustafson,, City Engineer Al Roberts stated that the City -Planner had prepared a drawing on the development of play ,area in Kenilworth Park, He stated that copies of this plan had been g.Wez to contractors in order to receive estimates of the cost, and it had been .determined that the work could be done considerably cheaper by the City Parks : Dept � 6 =City forces could do the work .for. approximately, $500. 600. Following ,discu.ssion on the sub ject, a poll wa s taken'to determine whether the work should be let out to contract or done by City.forces. There were 7 affirmative votes in favor of the work being done by City forces. The City Manager was directed to inform. the Park Foreman that the Council desired the work to be done on a straightm.time basis, with the exception of one Saturday during which the equipment Would be moved, ADJOURNMENT .'There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned.
