that the merchants would be willing to reimburse the City for the loss of

Traffic Committee
Traffic Committee report dated Feb. 16, 1960, . setting forth changes
and installations to be made unless otherwise directed by the Council, submitted
and .fi°ledo
To a question by Councilman Gustafson concer. ni.ng one-way traffic on
Kentucky and Kehler. Streets; the City Engineer. stated that he would have a
report on this at the next meeting.
Following discussion relative to the purchase of radar equipment for
use by the Police Dept., Police Chief Del. Maestro was directed to include this
equipment in his budget request for 1.960 -61.
City�Water Department
Replacement Various Water. Mains
Plans & specifications 'for the replacement of various water mains were
submitted and filed.
The Water Dept - Manager noted that these replacements had all been
provided for in this year's budget. Resolution approving the specifications

Councilman Matzen brought up the matter - of having al 5a'O, rental fee
for the building, - He - wondered if- this - would - be to janitor al

Councilman; Gustafson, Council, representative on the , Recreat Come,,
was asked to discuss with Recreation Commission matterof rental fees
and the intent of the. Commission relative to the use ; of the building by different
organizationse
It was noted that there were three applications on file in the City
Manager's office for use of the building in the near future; namely, the
McDowell Po To. A ,- County DeMocratic Committee and the Mormon Church.
A motion was made - by'Councilm'an Matzen, seconded ley :'Councilman
_Cr.nella, that these three applications for use of the building lie approved.

Councilman. Crnella-reported that he had talked with an architect, who
is not a resident of the City, but had indicated that he would be willing to serve
as an advisor to the Redevelopment Agency.
