Adjourned meeting of the Council of the .City of Petaluma called to
order by Mayor Parent.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen Crinella, Matzen, Van and Mayor Parent.
Absent: Councilmen:Ellis, Custafsbn & King.
CONSIDERATION OF UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Fee Schedule Kenilworth Recreation Bldg.
Schedule of proposed fees :_for use ;'of Kenilvworth Recreation Bldg,. received
from Recreation, Music & Parks Commission, dated April 15, 1960, submitted
and filed; . Whereupon,

BY THE RECREATION, MUSIC & PARKS COMMISSION. it
read and adopted by 4 affirmative votes, 3' absentees.
Discussion re Proposed Aqueduct Agreement
(App,roximately 3:1.5 p. m. Councilman . King entered the Council
Chamber at this time
The Council Committee appointed to negotiate the contract with the .Board
of Directors of the Flood Control District, reported on` the progress of the
contract to date.
(Councilman.Ellis entered the Council Chamber, = . -time. was appro.xi-

The City, Attorney and Mr. ' R. E. Layton, the City's consulting engineer
for water, went over the proposed draft of the contract, paragraph by
paragraph. Each paragraph was explained to the Council and to the members
of the Water Commission present.
The Council approved, in general, the contract as presented.
The City - Attorney explained that, in so far as the negotiating committee
was concerned and the County staff, no decision could be-made by them on
two items:. The matter of. Petaluma water service area_ and the matter of
capital cost repayments to be incurred by users other than Petaluma and
North Marin.
A joint meeting with the Board of Supervisors was agreed to be held
at 9:3`0 as m. on Monday, April 25,, in order to determine the final policy on
these two matters.

oy. Parent noted that Mr. Larson had been selected for the subject
position after the Council had carefully revieWed'5-1 applications which had
been submitted. The -Mayor stated that Mr. Larson had been the outstanding
applicant from the beginning: He felt the City was very--,fortunate in being
able to.- select such a- fine man for the position, of 'City Manager.
The following resolution was then adopted:

Codi Ellis - reported that the Planning Commission had reconsidered
Mr. CavanagW:s request at its meeting last night and had agreed'- the request
should be granted.
ADJOURNMENT:

meeting was adjourned,
