Absent-0...Councilirien Crinella and Van Bebber, City_Manager Lawrence Larson asked the Councils per -mission to purchase fire extinguishers, for the Kenilworth Recreation .B`uilding 'at a cost - of approx rr ateiy $110. 00 and charge the'cos't"bf this equipment -to the Kenilworth ,. Recre'at,ion.',Bldg, Construction Fund. He rioted that there -were ample funds in. this account to cover the purchase and. that the fire extinguishers were a -necessity. A motion' was made by Councalman..Gu.stafson, seconded �by Councilman M.at"zen,, that the fire 'exiingu.ishers be' purchased" and paid- for as requested. The motion carried by 5 affirmative votes, 2 absentees. Mr.. Larson reported on a meeting with the Administrator of the new Novato General: Hospital which he had: attended tod6,y' with the Petaluma Fire Chief and Police Chief. Since the opening of th'e new hospital,, he stated that it had been proposed that all ambulance calls answered' .below the-Marin�Sonom- a County line be taken to the new hospital in Novato unless a definite hospital was specified. Mr'. Larson noted that this procedure appeared to be acceptable to all who had attended the .meeting. However; the matterhad not, yet been discussed with the local hospital authorities, He assured the Council that this would be done before leg ,"slation on the matter was presented.
