Absent . , .-Council mien Crinella and Van Bebbero City, _Manager Lawrence Larson asked' the Council: ° s permission to purchase, fire extinguishers. for the Kenilworth Recreation .B'uilding 'at a cost of approx mately $110.00 and charge the cost 'of. this equipment - to the Kenilworth Recreation Bidga -- Constr uction. F. - He rioted that there were ample funds in. this account; to'cover the purchase and that the fare extinguishers were a - necessity. A motion was made by Councilman Gustafson, seconded by Councilman Matzen,, that the fire 'extinguishers be purchasedand paid as requested. The motion car'tied by 5 affirmative rotes, 2 absentees. Mr. Larson reported' on a meeting with the Administrator of the new Novato General Hospital which he had attended today' with the Petaluma Fire Chief and Police Chief. Since the opening of th'e new hospital,, he stated that it had been proposed that all ambulance calls answered :bel'oW °the Marin- :Sonoma County line be taken to the new hospital in Novato unless a definite hospital was specified Mr'.. Larson noted that this procedure appeared to be acceptable to all who had attended ,the .meeting. However; the matter had not yet been discussed with the local hospital authorities, He assured the Council that this would be done before legislation on the matter was presented. (7)
