to know, if these were part of the contract that was l:et on the signals or
if they were separate b ills, The City Engineer. eplined that the expenditures
were_for materialIs r__used by the City forces i n, performing the portion of the - work
they had been responsible :fore _ This vas done because it 4as realized that in
dealing with an.electrl contractor' he wou.l.d' probably not.have the facilities

work and material would be billed to the City Schools.

Mr.' John Perry addressed the Council stating that those who - had signed
to have their names taken off the petition for -the 'formadan of the district,, had
done so.beeause they -felt they 'had no individual need for ffie service_ qt the
present time., However,. he :wanted to make it clear that they were not against
the. project as a whale, . Mi. .Perry thanked :,the-Cit:y :Clerk; . City Engineer
and their staffs for the work they had done for ,hire on this" *rojecta.
Councilman -Van .Pebber felt that the people not iriterested..in. corning

Dr. Robert Atkinson, County Board of Education; and
Mr. Richard Ramsey., County Counsel,
Dr. Zimmerman remarked that the County wd'uld heartily favor a:i y type
of collection facilities to handle sewage disposal in the proper manner., . such :as
the facilities being 'discu;ssed tonight.

explaining that it was fioxible'and would be adaptable to variQ s - sites, He
remarked that the estimates` shown were probably a little high and. that the
plan included :a tots' wading pool, a bathhouse, etc'. -
There was discussion relative to: the various projects proposed `to be
put �oii the June Election ballot. . The City At po inted - out that this *m ght

the unexpended balance in the Auditorium Bond Fund.
