APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Minutes from the meetings of Nov.' 6 and 13, 19`61,;, were - approved: as.
recorded".
CONSIDERATION OF' B1DS:
Baker Street Storm Drain
Report -of Dir. of Public Works dated Nov: 17; 1961, attaching r
. n summa, y
of bids received'on the, subject project, submitted and filed. The report recom-
mended that. the Council award the contract for this work=K,to Cement Gun Construc-
tion. Co. based on their low bid of -'$3 60 per lineal foot for' A lternate #2.
City Engineer Al Roberts explained why these bids had come in higher
than estimated, ' stating. that he had been informed by, several contractors that
the work would probably have to be done on - three or four different occasions, one
day per, week This would necessitate the movement of their equipment inand. out -.
of town severa times, . thereby adding to the cost of the project.
Councilman King believed this work should be done as soon as possible,
considering the complications which could evolve from the4ailure of the present
tube:
The resolution awarding the contract was then' adopted as follows:
Res #28.67 N. C. S. .
introduced bye Councilman Colin, seconded ,by Councilman King entitled,
"RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE..PLANS AND'SPECIFICATIONS ENTITLED, 'BAKER STREET
