Councilman Van ,Bebber felt that it might be a good idea to build a larger tank`than proposed. He believed it would: be cheaper to provide for such additional capacity at this time,, rather than at some time in the future. Water Supt. Dave' Young ;stated that the Commission had considered construction of a two - million gallon reservoir at this 'site. However; in looking at the master plan for the overall development it was thought that the City should ,not concentrate that much storage at one point Mr. Young went on to say hat it was estimate y d: that the proposed one,m'illion gallon tank ,wou'- serve the City for 18 years. also in order to construct the larger tank suggested " by .Co.uncilman .Van Bebber, some additional land would be necessary and a little additional grading. Councilm"a n Colin pointed out. that if the Council now he this matter over to consider construction of a. larger tank, he it would jeopardize the whole-program as well as the acquisition of this particular site. Cquncilman..Gustafson then made a motion,: seconded by Councilman Colin, that :the Council accept the recommendation of the Water Commission for the Paula Lane ,reservoir.
