OF ORDINANCE June 18, 2007 1 Introduced by Seconded by 2 3 Teresa Barrett Mike O'Brien 4 5 6 n 8 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUrV!A AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 9 2246-2247 AND 2261-2265 N.C.S., TO CHANGE CERTAIN APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE GENERAL FUND 10 FOR THE OPERATION OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA FROM JULY 1, 2006 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2007, AND 1.1 DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF, TO TAKE. EFFECT IMMEDIATELY 12 13 14 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PETALUfAA AS FOLLOWS: 1� 16 Section 1. Ordinance Nos. 2246 - 2247 and 2261 - 22e5 N.C.S. are hereby amended, for 17 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007, in the amounts established in the 18 Exhibit A, and the amended budget incorporated herein by reference and distributed to the 19 various funds as stated in Exhibit A, and shail be expended and used in accordance therewith. 20 21 Sectior 2. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the amount of 22 appropriations provided hereby does not exceed the estimated revenue, other sources, and 23 avaiiable fund balcnces, in the amounts set in Exhibit A. whirl will be on fill with the City Clerk 24 for the fiscal year ending .June 30, 2007. 25 26 Section 3. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict herewitn, are hereby 27 reoealed. 28 L 29 Section 4. This ordinance is hereby declared to be necessary for the immediate 30 preservation of the public peace, health and sofety of the Ciry of Petaluma and its citizens, and 31 shall take effect and be in force from and after its final passaje by unanimous vote of the 32 � r�embers of the Cify Council present at the time of its adortion. i he reason for the urgency is to 33 approve adjustments to appropriations needed as the result of Adrnin.istrative Services 34 Department staff's eleven month review of approved appropriations compared to actual, Ordinance No. 2279 N.C.S. Page 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 annualized expenditures and adjust appropriations before the end of Fiscal Year 2006-2007, in order to comply with the City Charter and avoid variances in the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report which could result in an auditor's management comment letter. Section 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post/publish this ordinance, or a synopsis of this ordinance, for the period, and in the manner required by the City Charter.
