Resolution appointing member to Recreation Commission
There was some discussion regarding the method of appointment to the;
Recreation Commission.
At the suggestion. of Councilman Gans, a',5-minute -recess Was declared'. The
time was approximately &:'15 p. M.
The meeting was :called back to order.
Mayor Van Bebber„ explained there were two. Vacancies on the Recreation .Com -�
mission, and this caused a tittle confusion as to which .position was being .filled.
The subject resolution was then introd as follows: -

Lakeville Annexation
City Manager .Robert Meyer said it was the decision of the -Council; , at the.last
study 'session, to extend the •boundary line to include the �Cader and Cardoza property.
He also stated the annexation would include approximately 600 acres. and it would "take
some time for 'the Engineering Department to prepare a- description of ,the area. 1 .
The City Attorney explained that since this annexation will not be submitted ;
before September 20 and because of the new -legislation effective September 20, " i`t - will
be necessary -for `this annexation to go before the newly created Annexation :'Comffiission.
Resolution from "the Board of 'Supervisors of the County of Sonoma requesting
the Mayor to appoint City members to the Sonoma County Local Agency. Formation
and A, nnem t -ion Commission, submitted and filed.. Mayor Van Bebber stated that this
action -had already been taken.
Reif and Brody Plant
Councilman :Gans stated that a water sprinkler system had been installed and
�� • is under observation which should help to eliminate the nuisance.
It was the decision of the-Council to hold a study session, on September 30, 1961
