Mr. �'Obert6 addressed the Council stating the need for general regulations
controlling the , construction- of water wells so -that, the �underground water bearing
strata would not be- contaminated with ceepage from septic tanks. He also -felt that /6/

Mr Leste President of the Well Drilling A ssociation of Sonoma
County, addressed the Council, stating that he would favor some .type of an ordinance
-regarding sanitation and requesting the Council to delay action for 30 to 60 days.
There 'being. no objections, the Staff was directed to prepare �a well ordinance
as soon as gossibl6.

AN ADDENDUM TO THE MINUTES OF APRIL 13, 1964
An addendum to the minutes of April 13, 1964, on page 2 under the heading
of Director of Water Department,
"Little League day
Request of Little League; to use the McDowell Well F ield,,property for a !!
practice baseball diamond, „submitted and filed.
Minutes from Petaluma Water Commission meeting of April 8, 1964, re
recommendation of the Commission that the Council permit the use of the well field
property for a practice baseball diamond subject to a 100' setback, westerly, from
Maria Drive of the plaits submitted by Little League and to permit this use for two
years subject to a renewal annually, submitted and filed.
After some discussion, Councilman Ellis made a motion, seconded by Council-
man Gans, that inasmuch as.'plans for this area have not been formulated by the Council,
that the Council accept the, recominendation of the Water Commission and that approval
be expresslygranted on a temporary basis. "
