ROLL (CALL: Present: Councilmen Battaglia, Cavanagh, Jr. , Colin, Ellis, Gans, and Mayor Van Bebber. Absent: Councilman Brainerd. INVOCATION: The invocation was given by Reverend Harlan Selvey, Evangelical Free Church. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: An Addendum to the minutes of April 13, 1964, was approved as recorded. Minutes from the meeting of June. 1, and June 5, 1964, were approved as recorded. PUBLIC HEARING: Proposed Modifications to the General Plan Director of Planning Robert Byrd addressed the Council explaining the proposed modifications to the General Plan. There being no comments from mein°bexs_of :the audience, Res. No. 4047 N. C. S. introduced by Councilman. Battaglia, seconded by Councilman Gans, entitled, "RESOLUTION .RECOMMENDING MODIFICATION OF THE q' 7 GENERAL PLAN. " adopted by 6 affirmative votes, .I absentee. CONSIDERATION OF BIDS: . Type "B" Faire Alarm Control Equipment Mr. T: Olson of the California Automatic Sprinkler Company and Mr. R. A. Perilli of the Gamewell Company addressed the Council regarding the subject bid j opening. After a discussion concerning the difference between the two proposals, Council- man Battaglia made a motion, seconded by Councilman Gans, that the Council award the contract to the Gamewell Company, whereupon Res. No. 4048 N. C.
