Regular 'meeting of the Council of the City Petaluma called to order by
Mayor Van B'ebber.
ROLL (CALL:
Present: Councilmen Battaglia, Cavanagh, Jr. , Colin, Ellis, Gans, and
Mayor Van Bebber.
Absent: Councilman Brainerd.
INVOCATION:
The invocation was given by Reverend Harlan Selvey, Evangelical Free Church.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
An Addendum to the minutes of April 13, 1964, was approved as recorded.
Minutes from the meeting of June. 1, and June 5, 1964, were approved as
recorded.
PUBLIC HEARING:
Proposed Modifications to the General Plan
Director of Planning Robert Byrd addressed the Council explaining the proposed
modifications to the General Plan.

Perilli of the Gamewell Company addressed the Council regarding the subject bid j
opening.
After a discussion concerning the difference between the two proposals, Council-
man Battaglia made a motion, seconded by Councilman Gans, that the Council award
the contract to the Gamewell Company, whereupon

Letter from Roger A. Pearson, dated June 8, 1964 re sincere appreciation
for the excellent relationship.which existed between the Water Comm'iss'ion and City
/o / Council and submitting resignation as a member of the Commission, effective June
30, 1964, read and filed.
It was the decision of the Council to withdraw the resolution accepting accepting the
resignation for a period of '30 days since the continuity of Pearson's experience is
needed regarding the current Free Water Users issue which 'is before,the Water
Commission.
Notice from Public Utilities Commission re investigation t0, establish rules
/and procedures to facilitate administration of 1957 Amendment to Vehicle Code Sec-
