Swimming Pool
It was the opinion of. the City Attorney that the petition filed was not a, proper
,initiative petition an , was ' ,, not - legally ` reqUlried"to -- att th�&
law. - Following a brief discussion in which it was expressed by the Council that the
1433 signatures on the petition should not be ignored but given consideration, a motion
was made by Councilman Gans, seconded by Councilman "Cavanagh, Jr.,.. that the -
Mayor communicate by letter with the Swimming Pool Committee stating all . the facts
and'iffidicating the desire of the Council to meet with them in the very near future.
Roll Call on this motion carried by 6 affirmative votes, 1.ab'sen'tee..
The Planniifg Department Was di.rected to submit 'a recommendation to the
Council regarding 4 projected outlook as to location., design, 'etc. , of the swiai mine
pool before the holding the aforementioned meeting,
