The City Manager was requested to submit a further report.indicating the length of time each Commissioner had served. MaVor'Schoeningh that a memorandum had been received from the City Manager listing Commissioners whose terms of office have CONSIDERATION OF UNFINISHED BUSINESS- B St. Improvement At the''sug _gestion of Co uncilman Brown, discussion on the B St. improvement Was deferred until policy on street improvements (scheduled for July 16th) had been decided. A recess was declared at this time. Dilatidated.bldg, 405 Fair -St. Mr'. Frank 'City Manager, read a letter signed, by 24 property owners,, dated June 22nd which had been addressed to him requesting that a house at 405 Fair Street be condemned as. unfit,for human occupancy. Mr. Frank also gave' a detailed report of 'the. action taken by himself,, the Dir. of Public "Norks,, the Building Inspector, and the. Fire Chief with regard to abating this nuisance. Mr. S, W. Scott , wh adjoins the property in question, spoke of the obnoxious conditions due to lack of plumbing in,, the house the fire hazard, and the probability that his fire insurance rating would be affected - Mr. D. F. Martini, owner of the property, stated that he:. had ordered the plumbing installed a week ago; that he had notified. the tenant to vacate, and that he does intend to comply with the orders of the Building Inspector and other City Officia Mr. Frank also stated that he had notified the State Housing Insr,ector in Santa Rosa of the matter and the action taken to date..' Councilman Brown that -a report be given at the next regular meeting of the Council as to whether or not. city requirements �meht-a had been accomplished. Flood Control "'"Pr. Paul L.0 Nichols Sonoma. Cou Flood Control Engineer, ine0r, addressed the Council outlining proceedings necessary for. the establishment of a flood control zone. He filed with the Council copies* of sections of the. County Flood Control and--W Conservati - on--Act �whichsets f or th proc-eedinds' f or the establishment of a flood control zone. He stated that the first step would be for the, City Council to' pass a resolution requesting the Board of Supervisors to direc the 9 chief engineer of the district to make and file a w - ith. the Board showing.: A general description of the project or works of improvement ...... � b 3 . After hearing Mr. Nichola and establishing the fact that the cost of the engineer's report would come out o the present :flood control district, the City Attorney was directed to 'Prepare a resolution for presentation at the meeting of July 16th, requesting the Board of Supervisors to direct the chief engineer of the district to make such a report for the Petaluma area. -ADJOURNMENT: TF67e being no further business to come before the meeting, .the meeting was adjourned.
