REPORTS OF CITY OFFICIALS:
'City Manager
Meeting. re CitytQpunty Projects
City- Mdndg6r Ed Frank reported that there will be a meeting Wednesday
between -the. Tax Payers" Association' and the County Board of -Supervisors
relative to their recomrftendations on this year 7 '9 County budget, and a meeting
of the Board of Supervisois on Monday relative'to'Cbunt y aid to the cities on
certain projects_,; Mr.. Frank stated that there w'ill.be hearings on any suggested
projects 'that the cities might present to' the Bo ard'of Supervisors. He then
requested tfiat'th(,Counbil- 11 suggest some projec 7 t "in line of their priority, so
that he.hight present shm'6, to the'B6ard of Supervisors.
Some of'the'street projects suggested by members of the Council were:
g
Widenin f - Bodegd Ave.; widening of narrow bridge, corner East Washington St.
0 .. 1 ' o - .
and McDowell Road; extension of Liberty St. to Md"gnolid Ave.; and the improve-
ment of We Ave., "W 'St an View Ave.
It was pointed ouvoy the City Manager that Bodega Ave. "had by far the
greater traffic I count of any County Road lead'in'g"ifito the City however, some
members of the Council did not favor th for first priority on the
project Ust biecau se of the fact that the cost would exceed the monies available,
which. hlight.mean waiting couple ofyedrs before work could beg on the
project unless it was done itermittently.
The Cit y anager M' wa directed to make a request for the funds, inform-
ing the Board of Supervisois that-the City will present a definite plan for the
spending 'of 'this money mithin a'-short time.
