�,,Lt. Col.. John B. Gibbs appeared before the, Council suggesting that a
traffic'. might be made on this intersection before the Council made

.informed Mr. Gibbs that the time element involved did not warrant this, and
that. no. definite figures a.s to the traffic flow on E. Washington St, were as yet

Councilman King expressed his opinion of being very - much in favor of
g_rg.i pi p g, the subject: ect.-use permit, and further stated that he believed all of the
p roperty - .along East Washington. Street should be rezoned "commercial"
e, Councilman King felt that the residential property along East
M`49ffington St, had'dlteady lost its value because, of-th e increased traffic due to
the new freew4y, and the only way to increase the value of this property would be

lease on the. North Main Street parking lot, requesting to know if' the Council

After some discussion regarding the fact that revenue received from
this lot was progressively increasing°. it was the wish, of the Council to, n ale
their decision on this matter after receiving_ the next monthly report `on
revenues collected from the lot.

The City Engineer was directed to go ahead' with plans for sidewalks on

Councilman Gustafson requested that the matter of constructing 'a side=

Councilman Bigeldw, suggested that the Traffic Committee take under
consideration the matter of designating certain City, - streets as truck routes

again having work sessions between regular meetings on Monday nights:
