Committee's recommendation that the low bid of Sander son.Motors be accepted.

The City, Attorney explained that the resolution accepting the bid was

Mrs.. Porritt addressed the Council stating that the signal requested

..Following a brief discussion, the letter was referred to the Traffic
Cornmi tee. for their report to the Council as soon.as possible, and not later

the .Council requesting that the proposed legislation on this matter beheld 'over
as he. believed the Cityof PetaluMA did not'°arrant installation of m eters° He.
further stated that he would l ike t o have a survey m ade to'dete'r if this is
true.
Mr. Tom Cooper and Mr. John Sturm, owners of the Petaluma Taxi
Service, addressed the Council- 'oxpress ng their desire to install meters,

charged the City Attorney explained that the ordinance before the. Council at,

A 5 minute recess was called at this time to allow the Council to

The. meeting was, called back to order.
Discussion was held relative to the matter of ingress and egress. traffic
from the property to F'a:ir'Street.
'Mr. Henry Knight Principal of the Petaluma High. School addressed
tlrCs Council stating -that he would be opposed to anything that would increase the

City Engineer Russell Ingi am explained that the plans being submitted

and that his recommendation on the project at this time would be strictly
on '-T. cleanup basis He felt that the land would be too narrow for parking purposes.
Discussion was held relative to the, fencing of the area; etc., and the
