Committees Outside Sewer :Connections cone, The City Manager and City Engineer stressed the point that there was qti a: problem in regard, to sewage disposal in the fringe areas of the City. Councilman Van Bebber noted that this problem had been brought out in the committee °'s report with the suggestion 'that the City inform the County of the sivatrono i Supervisor Shoemaker addressed the Council stating that he was very pleased. that the City is accepting the idea. of somewhat of a =r al re�gponsibil.ity to pr. °vide a means .o f -proper sewage facilities to the fringe areas, In. conclusion, the City - Attorney was directed' to prepare a tentative resolution regarding the policy of the Council on_ outside sewer connections, said. -re's;olution to be drawn up along the following lines: _ .10 Sewer connections for individual homes should be granted only to those immediately adjacent to the City. 20 . He remarked that the proposed new . rates were very much in line with those of other cities.
