Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called to order
by, Mayer Parent.

Weed, Abatement
This being the time and place set for hearing protests relative to the
abatement of weeds'; rubbish,: etc., City. Clerk Gladys Wallin informed the
Councils .that no written protests had been received° .
Three property owners in the audience, who stated that they did not
wish the City to abate weeds, etc. , on their property as they :planned to do
the work themselves,, were referred to the Director of Public Works so he
right be informed of their intentions.,

Letter dated.April 24, 1958 received from Sonoma. County Flood
Control & "Water Conservation District re Flood Control Zone in Petaluma area,,
submitted and filed.
Mayor Parent felt that a delegation from the City Council should appear
before the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors requesting that they appropriate
money;in this .year's budget to have a,n outside engineering make - a study
of th `is jn order to expedite the matter,
