Absent:. Councilmen Gustafson and King.

re ;:application of Western Union Telegraph Co. to increase its Calif. intrastate
raters read and filed.
Mayor Parent asked that a copy of this notice be given to the press for

City Manager Ed' Frank `reported "that h& had gone to the Div.: of

svw replacement and hydrant replacement on "li Street. He - stated that
the ;total amount of estimated ` cost - on this.extra. work would` -be ,approximately

CO +ncilrnan Matzen informed the Council that he had received a call

Assistant City Engineer John Stratford explained that the intersections

Re Services to College Site
As he read the proposedresolution on this matter„ Councilman. King
felt that the City be obliged to furnish fire and police protection to the
college whether or not they annexed to the . "city. , .
Following 'discussion . re.lative to whether. or not the City -cou° d
guarantee * these services if the, college site `was not annexed, the City - Attorney '
was di.rected to rewrite the resolution, :stating merely that the City, declares
its willingness - to a:ccept the annexation of the *se1ected site concurrent.IV
therewith furnish. a_ll of the City services, such as, Police and Fire protection.'
The meeting was then adjourned to Mt. 'View Alyea Where the Council
was to snake a field - inspec"tion of the storm drainage problem in the urea. ; The
time'Was approximately 11:40a. M.
Members of the City Council, the City Manager, C ty',A torney' and

problem on the site, returned to the Council Chamber. and continued ther-

It appeared that the :mmediate problem is the relining of part ;of the
present storm diain. The Director of Public - Works- indicated that plans and

City Council. by nett Monday, whereupon it was agreed to adjouin the meeting.
