T."ie oi rliviance was then ord.-red poster! t ' 6 affirmativee votes and I absentee. - 5 -1 October 2 < 195c1 CONSIDER TION OF t FINISHED FJSINE Mayor Schoeningh - annotunced that the resolution which had beer, on the agenda, designating certain streets as Major City Streets and requesting anoroval by the State, would be deferred to the next regular meeting, due to lack of time for s tudy of same. 'Cotati :Nav Airfie i ou dil; by unanimous consent, decided to eliminate this matter from the Agenda, as there are still many things to be ironed out on the subject. Mayor Schoeningh stated that the matter had been discussed with two men from the CLA. George Justman stated that being; the subject of the Cotati Davy Airfield was advertised as being on the Agenda for this meeting, he would like to hear about it and know what the CAA had to say about the matter. Mayor Schoeningh stated that by mutual consent cf'the Council., since they were not fully ready, and since they did not possess all of the facts which they wished, they had decided not to discuss it. However, the CAA did recommend., that the City take 1t over, that we Qd maintain It as an airport, that the use' of the airfield for drag strips was of secondary consideration with them, and that they %Toul(I .rather see, it used as an airport primarily, at all times. The CAA also stated that the were not familiar with our problems here, as .far as taxation is concerned, and that Petaluma was the primary city to be considered in the giving of this airport. I T-tie Mayor, Councilmen Adams, Brown, Bigelow, Norwood and City Manager Frank gave oral reports on their atteridance to the. 50th Annual Conference of the League-of Calif o rnia Cities . held in Los Angeles October 17 to 20, 1954, At this time, Mayor Schoeningh introduced Bony Saludes, the new reporter for the Press Democrats ADJO:UhN- :,ENT; There being no further business to come before the neet- Ing, the meeting was adjourned.
