Adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma
called to order by Mayor Schoeningh.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmen Adams, Bigelow, Brown, Gustafson, Norwood,
Schwobeda and Mayor Schoeningh.
APPROV OF OF MINUTES:
Minute from the meeting of April 18, 1955; were approved as
recorded.
PETITIONS AND COM11JNICATIONS :
Invitation from.the Petaluma Board of Education and Adminis-
``tration Staff to attend an open house at the Administration
Building to see the new offices on Tuesday, April 26, betweeh
the hours of 2 :30 and 5:30,�read and filed.

At the suggestion of,Councilmar. Brown, a discussion took place
on the problem of , drainage in order`to have the matter settled by
next Monday when a vote would be taken, on the final map of the
subdivi The Council did not come, `to an agreement at this time,
and the matter was deferred until later in the meeting; whereupon,

City attorney Karl Brooks explained the procedure to be
followed in order for the Council to officially accept this master
plan.,. which includes a hearing by the City Council and notice by
the Council of said hearing. He further stated that it would be
entirely proper and pe necessary to actually publish
the proposed " Jaster Street and Highway Plan as part of the notice
.of the hearing. He offered to submit a further report on the
matter for the next meeting of the City Council.

CONSIDER.A.TION OF UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Cotati- Airfield
Councilmen Gustafson and Brown, on behalf of the Cotati Naval
Airfield Committee, reported on a recent meeting of the,Board of
Supervisors and the C.A.A., stating that the Cotati Airfield is
going 'to be turned over to private ownership by the Government
and has ,been declared non - airfield property,
Councilman Schwobeda then suggested that a letter of
apprecl be written to Mr. Flaherty, representative of the
C.A.A., thanking him for his time and consideration on the matter.
Mayor�Sehoeningh stated that such a letter would be written to
Mr. Flaherty with the Mayorls signature thereon.
Councilman Norwood proposed that the Petaluma Chamber of
Commerce be - noti.fl ed that the City is no longer interested in the
airfield and that the field. has declared non - airport property.
The °Council being in agreement with the forgoing su ggestion
Manager Ed Frank was directed to so notify the Chamber of Commerce
as a matter of information.
Drainage _ Colin_ Subdivisi , 3
The following proposals were submitted to-the Council by
Mayor Schoeningh in order that an agreement could be reached on
the problem' of drainage in the vicinity of Colin Subdivision #3:
1. That Mr. Colin put - intrust, in some way, sufficient funds
to cover the drainage problem as it exists there, such funds
to be retained for period of 5 years, said moneys if not
used f
or such purposes to then be returned to the properties
involved in this particular subdivision.
2. Same as first proposal, but with a 10 year time limit.
3 Same as first proposal., but with time limit.
4. Same as proposal No, 1, 'but with no deposit to be made
for "futur.e development.
5._ Should any deposit be made for the purpose of future
drainage.
6o should a 5 year time limit be set.
7. Should a 10 year time limit be set.
8. Should there be no time limit.
