Mr.' 'Baird then gave an oral report on the subject, explaining precisely what had taken place to date and the necessaty steps.to betaken before work could be started-on the Sixth Street Improve merits. Director of Public Works - cont. Re 1955 Uniform Buil Code.: Report' of Director of Pu lic Works dated May 2, 1955, re Uniform Building Code, 1955'edition, submitted and filed. MrA Baird explained that he had received information from the Pacific; Coast .Building Officials Conference that' the 1955 edition of the Uniform Building Code is available for circulation and adoption; . and, if. it was the of the Council he would secure copies of this Code and hold meetings with the contractors so that trim Code could be presented to the Council for adoption sometime this summer. Mayor Schoeningh then asked that this matter be put on'the agenda for the next regular meeting. Other City Officials Monthly reports of the Auditor, Fire Chief, Ambulance Operations and Central Permit Bureau were submitted -.and filed. Referring to the monthly ambulance report, Mayor-Schoeningh requested that the report not only show the amount outstanding, but also-,the'. amount collectable. In accordance with Councilman Schwobedal's suggestion, Mr. Colin was ,asked if he was in agreement with the terms of the resolution.
