This being e' ime and place set for hearing protests, the
City Clerk reported that there were 3 written.protests..and proceeded
to read the protest of Jose, Joaquin, 706 E Street, San'Rafael,
owner' of property , y, at 110 Kentucky Street, Pe . tAluma, dated April 25,

Mr. Crine.11a stated that he believed this plan was giving the
property owners in the district all of the advantage, and that all
of the taxpayers would have to pay for it.
Councilman Adams stated that he felt that a parking meter
district would not only be nefit one group, but everyone in the City.
A 5 minute recess was called at this time.
Mayor Schoeningh ar.nol.i.nced that only approximately 8% of the
assessed valuation of property owners in the district had protested
the proposed plan; whereupon,

introduced by Councilman Bigelow, seconded by Councilman Schwobeda,
entitled,

At this time, Mr. Sturgis explained the exact procedure that '
would be. followed 'to complete the formation of the parking district.
Mr.. C. P. Brake addressed the Council expressing his apprecia-
tion for their farsightedness in seein'T the 'need for. this parking
district, and the f ine job they hard done on it.
Mayor Sc °hoeningh thanked stir. 3rake and stated that the Council
felt that they were following the wishes of not only the property
owners in the district, but also many people in the community b''
providing them off - street parking.
There being no further business to dome before the. mee ti ng,
the meeting was adjourned.
