.This resolution having received a tie.vote by the Planning
Commission, City Attorney Harl Brooks stated that he could -see
no objact.ibn if the applicant were granted permission, by the
Planning 'Commission, toamend their application for a rezone change
by eliminating those lots that they had suggested, ' and then have
a re-hearing on the amended application. Then the P lanning
Commission could act and have it processed through the City Council.
The matter was, therefore, referred back to the Planning Commission.

Presentation of Plaque to Councilman Schwobeda /QE7ia�rVG
7t this time, Mayor Schoeningh' resented Yec_gnir Councilman
P. Douglass Schwobeda with a plaque in appreciation for his services
from February 1951, through June 30, 1955
The Mayor remarked that the Council would miss Councilman
SchipTobeda particularly for his sparkling wit, his eagerness to
contribute to any problem that the Council had under consideration,
his numerous ideas and his faithfulness.
Councilman Schwobeda thanked the Mavor - and Council, stating
that his leaving the City Council was both a happy and sack.

At the suggestion.of Councilman Bigelow, it was unanimously
decided that a joint meeting of the Planning Commission and members
of the City Council should be had on this subject.
