to order. by Mayor Schoeningh.

Letter from Calif. eater Service Company dated July'25, 1955,
regarding steps taken to overcome objectionable noise from pumping
station - Dana Street and Broadway; read and filed.
Mayor Schoenin`h stated that he had met twith representatives
of the VIa.terr Company, discussed the matter with them, and had been
assured that everything possible was being done to eliminate t le .
noise bein�': produced by this pump as soon as possible.
Mr. George Peterson appeared before the Council stating that
the eter Company had eliminated some of the noise being made by
this pump, and had assured 7` - Lm that further "steps would be taken
as soon as possible to reduce the noise to the very minimum.
The 'matter was shelved, pending further ac by the Calj_f.

engthy discussion took p1.aee concerning the subdividing
fee to be charged; -if it would be satisfactory for the subdivider
to use clay pipe rather th;1 the transit pipe usally required
by the City as the transit pipe Would be impossible to obtain for
quite some time", thereby holding up construction work; and the
repair or reconstruction of Lindberg Lane. The Council agreed
that Mr. Kenney; subdivider of Kenworth Manor, should do the work
of repairing or reconst ructing Lindberg Lane only on the side
of the road where his subdivision would be located, and, after
hearing, the opinion of the Assistant City Engineer, that the

matter of subdivision, fees to be charged was deferred until later
in the meeting when a discussion was scheduled on:the subject
of amending the subdivision and annexation ordinances.

a hearing on these two rezoning requests, and the time eras

Report dated July 21, 1955, outlining work and hours spent
by city personnel assisting other ag encies in the preparations
for the 4th District Fair, - read'and filed.
The Mayor . remarked that the Commission should be commended
on the good job done.

After some di the City Attorney was directed to
amend the subdivision ordinance to set the subdividing fees at
$60.00 per lot or 9160.00�per acre, - whichever were gr e I Ater*, and,
present this amendment to the Council at the adjourned meetin on
Monday, August 8. Further discussion on this subject was also
scheduled.fbr'the adjourned meeting on August 8.
At the suggestion of Mr. Kenney., the Council agreed that
it would be satisfactory for him to post a check with the City
Clerk until such time as a definite decision was reached*as. to
subdivision fees.

truck, and did not consider the lease-purchase method'of buy-',.

that'the specifications for the truck already had gone out to
various companies without his knowledge, Councilman Adams
explained that t . here had been several efforts made to contact
him before this was done.
Fire Chief Dan Nielsen stated that he believed any of the
major concerns could bid on these specifications with equal.

had notified him that the prices'on.the trucks would be' increased
in the very near future, and a letter and telegram received by
- Chief Nielsen, from two of the companies, were read by the
Deputy City Clerk.
Mr. L. N. Curtis, salesman for Maxim Co..,, stated that it
would be possible to build 'a truck according to the specifica-
tions, but this would cost so much extra,that the. bid would have
to be. completely out of 'line.

CONSIDERATION OF tTIEDIISHED BUSDIESS coot
Re Outside Serer Connection. Fees
so.
LP.- Hyl and, 51 odega venue, appeared before the
Council protesting the annual $50.00 outside sewer connection -
fee. $he stated that she'had attempted to have a petition signed
for annexation'to the City, but'had received so many refusals that
she disgarded the idea. Mrs. Hyland submitted this petition to
the Council„ along with letters she had received from the Cities
of Sonoma, Sebastopol and Healdsburg re outside sewer connection
fees and a speech which she had prepared on the subject.
Councilman Brown informed Mrs. Hyland that a committee
was working on the adjustment of these fees'at this time, and
also explained the reason for the City charging outside sewer
connection fees.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further busines to come before the meeting,
the meeting was adjourned to Monday, August 8, 1955., 8:00 P.M.
