Councilman ing stated t the following matters would first have to be considered and taken care of: lm Abandonment proceedings on Oak Hill Cemetary9 and 1 20 Consideration of the Calif. Water Co. easement through the property. 3. Some help will be received from the National Guard in the improvement of the park. 4. Since the meeting of the Committee and the Recreation Corlaission, a new street .has. been proposed from Howard Street on the Northwesterly line up ., to . the ti "Tager Company property and then an extension of that through the Brooks` property. Councilman Gustafson added that it was also suggested that Pleasant Street be closed off. The Committee was desirous of- having another meeting with�th'e Recreation Commiss on: before submitting their final recommendations on the plan. The matter was held over pending meeting,, d Repairs of Upham Street Between_ Wester Avenue & 1 Letter from Petaluma Co-operative Creamery dated Sept* 22, 1955, stating that they would agree to stand one -half of the City"s estimated cost of repairs of $5,500.00, this to include widening and installation of gutters and sidewalks, read and filed., Councilman Brown remarked that the terms of the letter were in accordance with suggestions made by the committee studying the matter, and requested that this be put on the agenda for the next regular meeting. The matter was'tabled until that time. Traffic Committee Report-re Bus Stop Change Report of Traffic Committee dated Sept. 1 , 1955,signed. by City Manager Edward Frank, Chief of Police. Del Maestro and Director of Public Works.& City Engineer R. W Ingram, recommending that the Greyhound Bus stop in front of Van Bebber's store on North Main Street be relocated to just north of Washington Street, and the yellow zone on the south side of Mary Street be extended one meter zone west, read and filed, Mayor Schoeningh remarked that the Council was not required to take any action on this matter, but could object to the recom- mendations of the Committee. Councilman N nkood asked if a parking meter would be installed where the old bus stop had been. Chief of Police Del Maestro recommended that this be done. September 26, 1955 Director of -Public Works Re Novak Subd. Nom 3 -- Drainag Ditch Sewer Easement Letter da ed. Sept. 6 1955, signed, by 'Russell Ingram, Director of Public Works, re drainage ditch and sewer easement in ; Novak Subdivision #3, read and filed. In answer to the question of Councilman Adams., the Director of Public Works expressed his opinion that the best thing to, would be leave the , dr°ainage ditch alone, as it would be nothing but an expense to the City. He reviewed the problems f.or:the Council and aft'er.some discussion, the matter was tabled until the Council could give it further study and consideration. . Other City Officials Monthly 're.port of the Librarian was submitted' and. filed. Mayor Schoeningh commented, on a report which" had been received from .the City Manager concerning vandalism. He calledattention to the fact that considerable damage had been done'\.in the Blast few weeks . in the City Parks.,:. The .Iviayor stated that he had received a letter from trie Sonoma'. County Probation Office requesting that sbmething, done concerning the juvenile delifiquencyi' problem; 'and' ° .a 'representa- Live: be appointed to attend a proposed meeting on the subject. He informed -the Council that. a representative had, been app.ointed and would'report the results of the meeting to the Council., INTRODUCTION OF 'ORDINANCES A resolution and ordinance amending the final budget and appropriation ordinance for 1955- 56`Vere held over until the next meeting for further study, Mr. Robert Brunner, who had arrived at the meeting late, desired to know what_had taken place regarding the proposed budget.submitted by the Freeholders Mayor Schoe,n_ingh informed Mr. Brunner that this matter had been held over for study, Mayor Schoeningh informed the Council that Mr Sturgi would be here on'Friday, Sept. 30, to attend an adjourned meeting .of the Council. regarding Parking Distriet' #1955 -1.
