Mayor Schoeningh introduced Mrs,... Corinne Shields, who he had
appointed as Petaluma's representative, because of her interest
in the matter_
Mrs. Shields gave report on a meeting -which had been
held at the County Court Two things which had been agreed
upo4 at the meeting were : meetings should be held'
local basis, because juvenile delinquency is 'a community problem;
(2) a decision must be made as to the boundaries of each area to
be served. Mrs. Shields believed that a committee - - should . be
appointed to attend a town. meeting on the subject and to ct on
what comes out of the meeting.
Mayor S'choeningh requested the Council suggest_ names of people
to form such a committee and submit these names to him.

a copy of the new procedures could be obtained from hi*s office, by

ing the City to place itself on record that it will furnish seder
connection and maintenance to Highland Park Subdivision as needed,
rea and filed.
Due to the.fact that .this letter had 'not been.on the ; agenda,
it�was tabled until the next regular meeting, at which time a
discussion could 'be had on the subject.
Report of the Recreation Commission dated Oct. 17, 1955 re
Oak Hill Park plan & policy, stating their approval of the
recommended by the Council Committee who had studied the situation,,
read and ,filed.
This matter was also held over as it had not been on the agenda..

I Freeholders' Budget Request- cont..
, Considerable scussion followed as*to whether or not the
budget should'be accepted by the Council . as it stood* or, if a
new amount should be set. Councilmen.,Brown and Kina were in
favor of accepting the proposed budget. Councilmen Adaihs.-and
Bi gelow stated,that they would have t I o vote "no" on any proposal
regarding this.budget, because the budget had not been put on a
ballot for.the vote of the-people. Councilmen Gustafson and
Norwood:and Mayor Schoeningh believed the budget should be cut,
but each had a different amount in mind'for the total budget.
touncilman Adams requested City Attorney Karl Brooks to
prepare a resolution approving the budget submitted by the Board
of Freeholders.
