T - ;:E - l - e - t - fe — r 'from - Mr Clow which had b.een.sub-
mitted at the 'Meet1ha of Oct. 17, 1955, wherein Mr. Clow 'requested
that the City put itself on record that it would furnish sewer
connections and maintenance toHighland Park Subdivision as.
needed.
Mr. addressed the Council', explaining the necessity of
this request. He stated that he was interest in having some
sort of agreement with the City ut,til such time as the e-problem
of annexation is settled, whereby he would be assured of sewer
connections for the subdivision.
A short rec was called to 'allow the Council time to
acquaint themselves with the above problem.
The meeting was called back to order, amid after lengthy
discussion on the subject,_ Mr. -Clow was advised to file a f brmal
application for the 16 outside sewer connections for Unit No. 1
of Highland Park Subdivision. The Council Y that it
would' application provided an amount equal to the out

from many people asking - why their could no longer'_ 'dispose of the
leaves in this manner. He requested to know if s'bmething could
be done about this situation.
After considering the problem,, the Council agreed that the
situation should be handled by publicizing the fact in the
y I
local newspaper that burning on the pavement is detrimeintal, to
the street, but after obtaining a burning permit., it would
still be satisfactory to burn either on - the parking or
amrwhere other than on the street pavement. The City Manager
was directed to investigate how this problem is being handled
in other cities so that this information would be on hand when
the situation comes up next year.
