Brown.- ROL Present: Councilmen Adams, Brown,, Gustafson and Norwood. ,Absent: Councilmen Bigelow, King, and Mayor Schoeningh. (Councilman King entered the meeting at this time. ) INVOCATION 6 . 1 .ln the absence of Reverend William Ruhl, Evangelical & Reformed Church, invocation was observed by 30 seconds of silent prayer. APPROVAL OF . MINUTES: Minutes from the meeting of April 2, 1956, were approved as recorded. CONSIDERATION OF BIDS: 140 Parking Meter Heads This being the time ,and place set for opening of bids for the purchase of 140 parking meter heads, five bids were opened and read the City Clerk as follows: Name '& Address Magee=Hale Parking Meter Co., Oklahoma City, Okla. Councilman King requested an explanation- claim #3635 in the amount of $711. -37, listed in the _name of Parish Bros. for installing sanitary sewer liner in" Lindberg Lane. City Manager Ed Frank explained that this matter had"com- 6 up approximately one year , : ago, and the City Council, at that time, ,felt that there should be an extra liner uj.ider the freeway so that in the future, should it be necessary to install another sewer line besides the 15" line which is now there, the City would then have the means to do so without having to dig under the freeway. Councilman King asked if the State of Calif. should not furnish the liner in crossing. our streets .and asked if there ever had been a request made to the State for this work. Mr. Frank stated that he believed the Director of Public Works had negotiated with the State on this matter at the time plans, had been made. for installing 'the liner -; however:, he stated that he would check into it and report back to the .Council; whereupon, - Res. #1650 N. C. S. introduced by Councilman Norwood, seconded by Councilman Adams, approving claims bills (Nos. 3457 to 3635 inclusive) was adopted by the following vote!
