R e Reprinting of Present City Charter 'Counc'ilm:an Norwood suggested the 'reprinting of the present City Charter to. "include amendments in their proper places. The City Attorney stated that the reprinting of the charter. would be taken care of in the proposed codification of ordinances, etc., if this is approved by the Council. Re Purchase of Binding M_ achine City Manager Ed Frank noted that there was a request in the new budget for a binding machine, which he believed could save the City considerable money,, inasmuch as City employees could then do the work of binding many of their reports instead of hiring this work to be done He suggested that the work of binding the charter after reprinting same might also be done with this machine. Reconstruction of "B" Street Mayor Schoeningh stated that he believed the property owners on . "B" St.- should be notified of the fact that they would not be charged for curb returns on this project. The Mayor believed the letter which had been sent to the property, owne:rs'some weeks ago had been in error in not properly reflecting the CounciV.s wishes 'on this subject. After considerable discussion on the subject, the City Manager was directed . to write a letter to the property owners on "B" St. containing the following information; L - .,The City will, pay for, curb , returns, 2. Trees will be removed only where necessary,- at the expense of the -property owners. 3o Curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveways will be replaced only where necessary, at the expense of the property owners; removal of curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveways will be done at the expense of the City. 4, The Council would like a reply from the property owners as to whether or not they are in favor of the project, before June 18, 1956. .
