lot. He asked _the C'iiy 'Engineer if it would -be' poss�ble.to e'"liminate the roughness
of the stelirwa:ys_so' that there would be less danger 'f people tripping. ` The
City Engineer,_state'd that there were plans to install handrails on'`thee stairways

In answer to a question from Councilman King, .City Manager Ed
Prank stated that in response to a letter addressed to him com-
pla !Ing about a house on Fair 'Street which was considered. unfit

by letter to comply with the law within thirty days.
'Councilman Gustafson requested that the matter of a policy on
improvement of streets throughout the City be put on the agenda.,
for discussion at the next Council meeting following the meeting
of July 2 ndo
A discussion of the condition of the city dumps including
.the Problem of extermination of rats was requested placed on the
Agenda for discussion soon.
