California, amending Sections 3, 4, and 5 of Ordinance No. 600 C.S.,
to provide that the Petaluma Municipal Improvement Bonds of 1945 shall
be dated.June 1, 1946, and shall mature as follows: $15,000.00 each year
from"June 1, 1947, to and including June 1, 1949; $20,000.00 each year
commencing June 1, 1950, to and including June 1, 1954; $25,000.00 each
year June 1,1955 to and including June 1, 1965." was read,

Apprec ation to the Army & Navy Recreation Commission.:
Resolution 4 C.S.
introduced by Councilman Deiss,, seconded by Councilman Sei.dell,
discharging the Army and Navy Recreation Commission and extending
to each of the members thereof, as well as the volunteer workers.

A new motorcycle for the Police Department and a new street .
roller for the Street Department was authorized by the City Council
and referred to the Department.. heads and City Attorney for the
preparation of the necessary papers calling for bids, etc.

Mayor oo son reported that a survey of the traffic thru
Petal - uma over State Highway Route 101 is to be made by the Division
of Highways, the c ost of same to be ap

paid from the City's share of the 1/40 gas tax funds.
.Washington St. lighting:
The repair and improvement of the s treet lighting system
along the entire length, of Washington Street Was discuss.ed., it
being reported by the Street Lighting Committee that the present
underground' system is entirely worn out and cannot be repaire
Councilman Seidell suggested that a modern electrolier system for
Washington Street might be a worthwhile project under the
Con stftiction and Employment Act of the State. Mx.. Morgan of
the Pacific G;as - & Elec.. Co. stated that he will ask his c.om - pany. to
make surveys of the present lighting of Washington Street, We- stern.
Avenue, Bodega Avenue and, DsT. and report their findings to the
City Council. He also 'stated that if th City wishes the P.G.
& .'.E...- will install overhead. lighting system along Washington :St.
I t no expense to the City. He suggested that the business houses:

at night until such time as street lights can be inst!&lledo
The City Attorney was granted further time i -n which to
report - on the title of Oak Hill Cemete as well as the clearing.

At Councilman'King's suggestion the City Attorney was as
to check the provisions-of the bill granting cities of the State
funds for the preparation of plans and the acquisition of` sites
for':..post -war projects and report to the City Council.
