APPROVING A PLANNED USE OF EXPENDING 2008-09 PROPOSITION 1B
LOCAL STREETS AND ROADS FUNDS
FOR THE CRINELLA DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
WHEREAS, 2008-09 Proposition 1 B Local Streets and Roads Improvement Funds have
been appropriated to the City of Petaluma for the purposes of local streets and roads projects in
the amount of $847,322.03; and,
WHEREAS, to receive funds, City Council must approve a planned use of the
Proposition 1 B Local Streets and Roads Funds, as determined by the State Controller's Office,
and submit to the State Department of Finance for the allocation; and,
WHEREAS, the planned use for the Proposition 1 B Local Street and Roads Funds must
be included in the City of Petaluma 2008-09 budget; and,
WHEREAS, City Staff has derived a plan for the use of the Proposition 1 B Local .Streets
and Roads Funds allocation through the Crinella Rehabilitation Project, with approximate work
limits from McGregor Avenue to Bungalow Lane; and,
WHEREAS, the Crinella Rehabilitation Project will benefit City residents, pedestrians
and bicyclists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Petaluma:
1. Approves the proposed use of Proposition 1 B Local Streets and Roads Improvement
Funds.
2. Resolves that a certified copy of this resolution and its attachments, and any
accompanying supporting materials shall be made available to the State Department of
Finance.
3. Authorizes City staff to submit an allocation request to the State Department of Finance
for the Proposition 1 B Funds.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Charter of said City.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Petaluma
approves the proposed use of Proposition I B Local Streets and Roads lmprovement Funds; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEll that a certified copy of this resolution and its
attachments, and any accompanying supporting materials shall. be made availab{e to the State
Department. of Finance; and,

BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City ofPetaluma hereby:
1. Amends the Fiscal Year 2007-08 Adopted Budget to include the Crinella
Rehabilitation Project.
2. Authorizes a budget transfer in the amount of X46,000 from Gas Tax, Fund 2410 to
Project No. C500608.
3. Authorizes City Staff to submit an allocation request to the State Department of
Finance for the Proposition 1 B Funds.
Under the power and authority conferred upon this Council by the Chuner of said City.
