ROLL CALL: a Present: Councilmen Brown, Deiss, King, Penry, Sedell, and Mayor Woodson. Absent: Councilman Myers, READING OF THE JOURNAL: Me m nu es o . Uhe last regular meeting.of November 4th and the special meeting of November.l2th, were read and approved as recorded. REPORTS OF _OFFICERS: The monthly reports of the Librarian and the Wharfnger were read and filed. The Clerk - reported' the filing of Affidavit of Publication of Ordinance No. 618 C.S. REPORTS OF STANDING C014MITTEES: The Finance Committee su mitted: whereupon Resolution #3880•C.S. introduced by Councilman King,. seconded by Councilman Brown, I direct- ing the Auditor to draw warran.t,s (Nos. 1135 to 1303 inclusive) against.the various City Funds in payment of claims all-owed _ and approved by the Finance Committee, adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. FETITIONS.AND COMMUNICATIONS: Cancellation of ease on 4th and C Sts. Parking lot: Communication from Basil P. and'Chrissie George,, request - ing the immediate cancellation of the 1fi%se on their property located at 4th and C Sts4 which has been used as a parking space for war workerst- cars, read., filed, and Resolution #3881 C.S. introduced by Councilman Penry, seconded by Councilman Brown, agreeing to a termination effective the 18th day November, 1946, of the lease on the property located at-4th and C Sts;. and .directing the Mayor to execute an agreement terminating said lease,. adopted by 6 affirmative votes, l absentee. City Attorney Brooks was asked to Ir epare a resolution of thanks to be sent to Mr. George for his generosity in providing the parking space for war workerts cars. ADOPTION OF ORDINANCES: Employment of C arence Seage for engineering: Ordinance No. 617 C.S, introduced by Councilman Penny, seconded by Councilman Deiss, entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PETALUMA AUTHORIZING .THE EMPLOYMENT OF CLARENCE SEAGE FOR THE ENGINEERING DESIGN AND SUPERVISION OF A BRIDGE OVER PETALUMA RIVER ON BRIDGE STREET." came up regularly and was adopted by 6 affirmative votes, 1 absentee. Amendment to Elec. Mayor Woodson reported that the Division of Highways has been requested to prepare a project -for the installation of a Stop and Go Signal at the intersection of Third and D Streets, as well as a flash warning sign on Third St., approaching the Western*Avenue intersection.
