Regular meeting of the Council of the City of Petaluma called
to order by Mayor Woodson.
ROLL CALL,:
esent: Councilmen Brown, Deiss, King, Myers, Penry, Seidell,
and Mayor Woodson.
READING OF THE JOURNAL:

were read and approved as recorded.
REPORTS- OF OFFICERS,:
e monthly reports of the- Wharfinger, Auditor, Police Judge,
Treasurer, Chief of Police, Rodent Exterminator, and Po,-,.,- ter,
were read and filed.
The Auditor reported the apportionment of the sum of $130,970..75
from the Unapportioned Fund to the various funds entitled thereto.

ing the tentative map of Blackwell Subdivision filed with the City
Clerk on the 6th day of January, 1947, adopted by 7'affirmative votes.
Approval of 'Memo-of Agreement -1/4¢ ghway Gastax.

Approval of Memo. of Agreement— Major City Streets Gas Fund:

introduced by Councilman Penry.,. seconded by Councilman Myers,
ado ting,- budget and' approving Memorandum of Agreement for expenditure
of P /4 cent`'gas tax allocated for streets of major importance,
adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
City Attorney to Quiet Title - 'Kenilworih`Park:

introduced by Councilman Penry, seconded by Councilman Brown,
authorizing -the- .City ,Attorney to cause an action to be filed in the.
Superior Court of the State of California to quiet the title i6 the
lands "owned by this City known as "Kenilworth Park" adopted by 7
affirmative 'votes.
Transfer of funds:
Resolution , #5899 C.S
introduced by Councilman Myers, seconded by Councilman Brown, directing
the Auditor and Treasurer•to transfer the sum of $1750 from the
General Fund to the Music Fund in accordance with amendment #19 of the
City'Charter, adopted by 7 affirmative votes.
Count ' of Absentee vote;
The Clerk reported that 7 Absentee Ballots had been filed for
the Dec. 30th Special Election and that the'signatures of the voters
on each absentee voter's ballot had been compared with that on the
or iginal . Affidavit of Registration of the voter in the office of the
County Clerk at Santa Rosa, and had been found to be the same
signature..
The Council organized as a Board of Election, Councilman Leland
Myers being appointed Inspector, Councilman Penry as Judge, and,
Councilmen Walter Brown and John King as Clerks, and proceeded to
open and count the 7 absentee voters ballots in the manner provided
by law.
There.after'the City Council proceeded to, canvass the election
returns of the 8•- consolidated precincts with the following result:

{ The Street Committee was given power to act in the matter
of a request by a property,owner on Dana Street for the construction
of .reverse driveways.
Mayor Woodson suggested that the members of the City
Council view the recent improvements made on the La Cresta Subdivision.
